Marcello Arletti

Marcello Arletti was born in 1963 in Piacenza. He graduated from the Liceo Artistico Statale d'Arte in Bologna and then began his profession Graphics and visual communication, an activity he still carries out in Bologna, the city where he lives and works. Attracted by light and the emotions it generates, in 1996 he began to paint and began a phase of study and experimentation on reflections and transparencies typical of the ray of light. The Reflections they are images that reflect perceptions and aspects of contemporary living. They are paintings constructed by superimposing a series of glazes with transparent pigment on shiny laminated aluminium. The idea of seeing the color transparently, thanks to the light ray reflected specularly by the metal placed behind the pigment, is an amplifier of visibility and chromatic liveliness. “I added a light point behind the pigment and consequently I no longer represent light but use it directly".
