Silvano D'Orsi was born in the province of Caserta in 1953 and has lived and worked in the province of Perugia since the 1970s. Eclectic, quick to change, curious experimenter, D'Orsi boasts the creation of continually different arts and works. AND ceramist, painter e sculptor. He now paints dechirican-inspired mannequins, sometimes luminous and colourful. Both in terms of technique and subjects it evolves continuously.
It is inserted in the Catalog of Modern Art published by Mondadori, classified AC: High Critical Interest. It's part of the Arcani Movement with whom he exhibits in Italy and the United States. In November 2012 his works, a denunciation of the effects of capitalism, were exhibited at the UN gallery in an exhibition dedicated to human rights. One of his works is acquired on permanent display by the Museum Giuseppe Sciortino of Monreale, another is on permanent display at the National Museum in Lviv, in Ukraine.
He creates bronze sculptures and paints oils and acrylics on canvas. Since 2013 he has been creating mosaics on canvas of his small works applied on wood. Among the recently introduced subjects, there are religious ones: faces of Christ and Madonna and Child.
