Giovanni Omiccioli

Born in Rome in 1901, he is one of the representatives of the Roman school. He visits the Osteria Fratelli Menghi, a well-known meeting point for artists, directors, screenwriters and writers. With Mario Mafai, Guttuso and Afro he realizes the first publication of L'Unità. He is always faithful to the figurative theme, the brush strokes are full-bodied and the atmospheres full of dreamlike suggestions. Recurring subject is that of football games.
