Tano Festa was born in Rome (1938-1988). Among the boys of school in Piazza del Popolo he is certainly the most passionate and simple in his ways. Festa's work is linked, in recent years, to the reinterpreted expressionism of artists such as Munch, Bacon e Matisse. In Festa there is also loneliness and emptiness. Critics, attracted by this renewed creativity, became interested in his work again and in 1980 he participated in the Venice Biennale.
